Que hay pandilla pues esperamos que tengan un muy buen inicio de semana y bueno ahora les queremos compartir un pequeña charla con Corey Christie aka "Reks". Un Mc originario de Lawrence, Massachusetts. E.U. Reks cuanta con ocho álbum en estudio y tres Mixtapes, y a trabajado con gente de la talla de Dj Premier, Styles P, Hi- Tek, entre otros muchos más, y está estrenando su más reciente trabajo titulado " Revolution Cocktail", de esto y mucho más platicamos con él, los déjamos con el texto y lo vamos a poner en inglés y español para que no haya lío, esperamos hacer lo mejor que podamos con la traducción jeje.

"Reks" is the acronym Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme. I am a Lawrence Massachusetts, emcee with 8 albums and 3 mixtapes most recently releasing "Revolution Cocktail" Lp independently.

Sure I do. I started out break dancing in a Crew called "Funk Town Connections". I picked up the mic trying to emulate legends like Kool Moe Dee and KRS One.

TELL US ABOUT CURRENTLY ON SCENE IN THE UNITED STATES, OF THE UNDERGROUND SCENE ?/ DINOS ACERCA DE LA ESCENA ACTUALMENTE EN ESTADOS UNIDOS, LA ESCENA UNDERGROUND ?

The underground scene in the states suffers from over saturation of artist and music. There is not a major division between artist and fan anymore. Everyone is either a rapper or a producer these days. I appreciate talent though above all else. Dope is dope and there is plenty of fresh new music popping up on the undergroud scene. I like "Boycott Blues" in Boston and the homie "Sin Down" in Miami. Fl.

La escena underground en los estados sufre un exceso de saturación de los artistas y de la música. No hay una gran división entre el artista y el más fan. Todo el mundo es o un rapero o productor en estos días. Apreció mucho talento por encima de todo. Droga es droga y hay un montón de música nueva, fresca  a mi parecer en la escena underground. Me gusta "Boycott Blues" en Boston y mi amigo "Sin Down" en Miami, Fl.

MEANING THAT HAVE YOUR ALBUM " ALONG CAME THE CHOSEN" ?/ QUE SIGNIFICADO TIENE TU ALBUM "ALONG CAME THE CHOSEN" ?

"Along Came the Chosen" being my debut album I wanted a title that lef folks know I was coming in as a force to be reckoned with. That album dropped in 2001. Crazy when I think about it.

"Along Came the Chosen" es mí primer disco y quería un título que le permitiera a la gente saber que iba a venir, algo con fuerza y a tomar en cuenta. Ese álbum cayo en 2001. Loco cuando pienso en ello.

Didn't last longreally. I just wanted to be doing what my older cousins was doing. Every day we would bust out the cardboard boxes on the street and practice. Battle Crews across Lawrence. I still remember the red windbreaker suit with the white stripe down the side. Headband to. You couldn't tell us we wasn't fresh. Lol.

No duró mucho tiempo en realidad. Sólo quería estar haciendo lo que mis primos mayores estaban haciendo. Todos los días reventar cajas de cartón en la calle para prácticar. Tripulaciones de combate por todo Lawrence. Todavía recuerdo el traje rojo con una franja blanca al costado. Cinta en la cabeza también. No nos puedes decir que eso no era fresco jeje.

Its been amazing thinking back on all the artist I have been blessed to work with. I am not done yet. Still so many I need to work with my next album "Eyes Watching God" got a track with N.O.R.E. and Saigon called Garvey. The entire project (Eyes Watching God) is produced by Hazardis Soundz.

TELL US CREATIVE PROCESS OF "REVOLUTION COCKTAIL" AS COLLABORATIONS, PRODUCTIONS, DESIGN, TIME ?/ QUÉ NOS PUEDES DECIR DEL PROCESO CREATIVO DE "REVOLUTION COCKTAIL" COMO COLABORACIONES, PRODUCCIONES, DISEÑO, TIEMPO ?

It was mostly recorded in Los Angeles and Ft. Lauderdale. EzDread had a heavy hand in making this album what it was lending her talent to five tracks and mixing the majority of the project. I was just having fun with music again. My last album with Numonics was called "Rebelutionary" and had a much more serious tone. We dealt with alot of the prevailent issues of the day from gun violence and police brutality to racism and class system issues. I wanted to steer a bit away from those topics a bit and have a more diversified album with more topics relating to relationships and deal with my triumphs over adversity. We winning and surviving you know what I mean.

Fue grabado en su mayoría en Los Angeles y por Lauderdale. EzDread tenía una pesada mano en la toma de este álbum, porque estaba prestando su talento a cinco pistas y mezclar la mayoría del proyecto. Me estaba divirtiendo de nuevo con la música. Mí último álbum con Numonics llamado "Rebelutionary" tenía un tono mucho más serio. Nos topamos con muchos temas sobre la violencia armada, la brutalidad policiaca, el racismo y problemas en el sistema de clases. Yo quería seguir un poco lejos de esos temas y tener un álbum más diversificado, con má stemas relacionados con las relaciones tener que lidiar con los triunfos sobre la adversidad. Estamos ganando, sobrevivir y todo eso ya sabes lo que quiero decir.
